About me
I’m Zsolt Rátkai, Ratkay. I’ve been a DJ for over 15 years. I completed the Mixdown DJ School course with excellent results, which is the highest quality training in Hungary. I learned from no less than Spigiboy, Magonyi L, Revolution, Newik and DJ Newl.
I have had the opportunity to perform abroad multiple times. I have performed at the SZIGET, BALATON SOUND, and EFOTT festivals. I regularly undertake corporate and private events, and provide background music in restaurants.
I believe that music is not just a composition of sounds… Music is the way to hearts!

Our wedding on June 1st was magical, and Esküvő.dj and Zsolt Rátkai played a significant role in that. About me I feel like I won’t be, because this way I can play more genres that I love. The first time I played in front of an audience (12 years ago, at a DJ competition, in the Deep Club in Miskolc at the time), I remember spinning a hard techno set. For years I was a resident DJ in rural clubs, where I had to play several musical styles to stay in the running for the local venues.
Music Style: Although I am also active as a wedding DJ, I am also at home in the DJ scene in the afro house, melodic house, and techno genres.
SPONTAN: In Budapest, I am associated with the event series called Spontan, which is one of the well-known parties in the electronic music scene.
International performances: I was a resident DJ in Ibiza at the Avana and regularly play at international events.

Of course, you can ask for songs from me! Thanks to my extensive experience and wide-ranging musical repertoire, I have a versatile perspective on music. My repertoire extends from Hungarian and international retro music of the 70s, 80s, 90s, and 2000s all the way to modern dance music, including Latin, reggaeton, R’n’B, rock, club, house, dance, and electro musical styles! In addition, I always welcome musical suggestions from couples and provide an opportunity to compile musical blacklists and wish lists! Moreover, during the party, I am happy to fulfill requests on the spot, making sure they fit the mood and style of the evening.
I am happy to play both newer and older Latin music. I select well-known hits that can be danced and sung for all ages, non-stop. Also, modern electronic music is easy for me to handle 🙂 Of course, I am also happy to play popular RnB, Retro, and folk styles, according to on-site requests.
My musical repertoire is not based on a pre-written list, as no two audiences are the same. I always try to adapt to the guests’ needs and preferences, based on a pre-discussed musical list and concept, which may also include prohibitions if there’s anything you specifically don’t want to hear (be it a certain song or musical style). 🙂
I am also happy to receive song titles, either here by email, so that I know exactly what you want to hear, so that we can more easily create a style that suits you and your company during the evening. At weddings and events, the most important thing for me is that you and your guests feel as good as possible. 🙂
