During a DJ search, we often come across the “sale” or “there’s always something cheaper” category. But is this really a good decision?
– Less experienced: Most DJs in this category do not have many years of experience.
– DJing as a side job: Many take on DJ tasks alongside their day jobs, so they don’t consider it a serious profession.
– Quantity over quality: Their main goal is to host as many weddings as possible, not personalized service.
– Solo “production”: They are not backed by large organizations or companies. They can be hard to reach and may not be available for every planning step, which can cause stress during the wedding planning process.
Among such DJs, there are those who have recently started their careers or work in nightclubs. We do not recommend this choice to anyone unless the practical, professional DJ is a friend or relative, and therefore asks for a symbolic amount. In this price range, however, DJs are often just starting their business, probably as a side job. They regularly attend training courses, continuously developing their knowledge in the fields of music research, mixing, production work, microphone techniques, lighting and sound technology.
They only procure the highest quality equipment and attend leading industry events to stay up-to-date with the latest trends in the world of weddings and DJs. In short, weddings are their passion. This does not mean they do not occasionally participate in birthday or corporate events, but 95% of their work focuses specifically on weddings. We have almost gone through the wedding DJ prices, but in the end, these are the DJs who charge a tariff between 350,000 and 700,000 forints for wedding services. In our opinion, this amount is only justified under certain circumstances. (It is worth considering the price-value ratio here as well.) If you have already heard this DJ live and liked them, then it might be worth considering booking at this price. But why is the price so high? Often because they work mainly with foreign clients. (It doesn’t matter to them whether the assignment is Hungarian or foreign.) Their musical repertoire is similar to that of other DJs, but they know that foreign clients can afford this surcharge. In addition, they often get in touch with clients through wedding planners, so a large part of the price goes to the organizers and marketing costs. Are you ready for this amount?
If you have already heard the chosen DJ at an event and you liked them, then it may truly be worth paying that amount for their services. However, we often hear from our clients that “I paid more, so I thought he was the best,” but in reality, this is not always the case.

If you are already spending such a large sum on a celebrity DJ, it is essential to support their performance with professional technical background. This also means additional costs. + You should not waste too much time on technical changeovers, so the alternative DJ must already have these devices available to ensure a smooth transition between the celebrity DJ and the chosen DJ.
